Villa Franca

Villa Franca wow very remote not as lot happening  here but the Albergue was very nice it´s actually the old Queens Hospital now done up. So it consists of  Hotel, Restaurant and Albergue. I sat in the square near the church and waited for the girls they only took 2 and half hours. Not bad going. It was nice to see all our fellow walkers pass me by say Hey, sit for awhile and talk about blisters and snorers. The albergue was one of a few that has hot showers, such a luxury.
We stayed for 8 euro each. not bad considering the taxi to get here cost me 45 euro. No buses out here so the taxi´s are privatley owned so they rake it in. I had no choice as my foot is getting worse. I´ll get it seen to at Burgos which is a large city . We are nearly there. Next stop Aterpuerca another remote village 28 kms away. Greer and Brit will ceratinly be exhausted. We went to the reataurant for dinner and had the Pilgrims dinner then drank sangria at the bar and watched a Barcelona V Espanol football game.Very emotional game here in Spain. The Pilgrims meals are not the all spanish cuisine you would hope for but rather hearty meals to keep you going. They make a nice Sangria though. Adios.
