Vianna to Najera

We left around 8am for the 23 km walk. I must have been stung by something when I was bathing my feet in a cold mountain stream as my foot has swollen and is rather purple and blue. The walking has been arduous but we are gradually not even recognizing the weight in our back packs now. They feel like they are just part of us.There are so many Germans walking this track all seasoned walkers some even starting in germany and walking this far. Crazy. I dont know how they do it. There seems to be many older people doing this walk. Greer and Britney are the youngest although there are quite a few in their twenties from Holland, France and Italy also walking. Most have quit their jobs to do this walk. Najera is a fairly big city not very pretty but on a river. WE stayed a a private Albergue with only 10 people, no snorers, but they did wake early and left by 6am. There always seems to be a mad rush in the morning by the older people. I guess mainly because at some villages there are not many albergues and its first in or you have to keep walking to find the next one. Which after 23=30 kms its not much fun.We ate in to night as my foot is not looking good. We played cards and ate strawberries, grapes, jamon, brie and bread washed down with some wine. We ended the night playing some fun drinking games. adios
