Burgos, Leon, Sarria,Rebello, Hospital Dela Cruz, Palias Del Rei

Hi All, we have travelled many places since my last blog. We have started walking again and we are able to walk at least 16 km a day. The foot is gradually healing. I have made one of my shoes fit with heaps of packing so that it doesn´t rub on the healing sore. I walked for the first day with a thong which was very hard and slow but it was the only thing that would fit over the bandage. We stayed in Leon for a couple of nights. 2 nights at albergues and 1 at a pensione. Unfortunately we got robbed at the pension of money and of all things our locks. Our fault really we thought they would be save in a private pensione. Leon to Sarria was interesting vewry poor country farms along the way no bulls yet though. Sarria was beautiful it had a realm french feel about it, the architecture we loved it here. The owner made us very welcome we joined him and the other guests drinking his home made liquor arounfd a large fire. We met some yopung german people and we sat and drank with them and palyed some drinking games. It helps to a have a little drink before bed to cope with the snorers.Rebello was very quite only 20 people live in this village but they still manage to have a bar and albergue. We mert Diedra from South Africa who´s sone plays for the Springboks, No 8. We got her address so that Greer can visit her on her next travels.We ate the pilgrims meal for dinner which consisted of their regional food- spinach sopa, empladas with pork and santiago almond cake washed down with a not so good red. The wines here are very light plus you get a bottle each when you order a pilgrims meal.Hospital Dela cruz very boring very smal can walk down town in 60 seconds. Palais Del Rei. just a stop off point for lunch of totilla bocadilla and lemon juice. I.m now in Melida just for the night. It´s a big town so we might try and catch a movie.
