Zaragoza!

Traveling to Pamplona today. Spent the last 2 days with Miranda. Zaragoza is quite a large city with a magnificent Basilica and huge central square. We ate at some wonderful tapas bars. Had mushrooms skewered together fried in butter and garlic and topped with a prawns. Very nice with a cold white spanish wine. we then moved to another bar this time we had lambs blood croquettes,liver,black rice and garlic and goats cheese croquettes also washed down with some white wine. We then walked 2 metres to the next tapas bar this time eating empanadilla's , probably spelt wong, ha ha.They were spicey with meat but way too yummy. We spent the evening with friends of Mirands at the local disco's. We got home in the wee small hours of the morning.So the next day was more relaxed one with walking around Zaragoza and visiting the Basilica and Aljaferia Palace. Had a 3 course  lunch with cold gazpacho and jamon, and a chocolate cake.  Adios.xx

Austinmer to Spain April 2011

About to go for a walk to get myself a little bit fitter for the San Camino walk in Spain, 720 kms it's going to be good. We start from Pamplona after first stopping off to see Miranda at Zaragoza for a couple of nights then on to Pamplona. So I guess my first posting for this epic walk will be from Pamplona. Can't wait. I don't know how I'm going to live for 5 weeks with only 2 changes of clothes but hey it'll be fun. Adios.
